"Okafuji in this forest was named as a variant Okafuji by Minakata Kumagusu, and has short racemes, slightly large petal flag petals, pale white flowers, and dark wing petals. There is a legend that the forest has flowed. It was designated as the prefecture's natural memorial No. 1 in 1956.
Located in the lowlands of Oka River, there are plants that prefer warm and humid conditions. "

It is a cave made by erosion by a circular moon-shaped cave in the center of the island. This cave is a hole with a diameter of about 9m. The surrounding sea is highly transparent, and you can sometimes see fish. It is impressive to see the island floating in the sea shining in the setting sun. Many photographers gather to take pictures of the setting sun just entering the hole.

It is a section that crosses the pass of the Koza Kaido, which was once used as the main transportation route. Stone structures and cobblestones are left along the road that goes up to the pass from the valley of the Samoto River through the ruins of the' Fukuidani' village. The Muro accretionary prism, which forms the basis of the Kii Peninsula, is exposed in the Samoto Valley, and the strata and faults deposited on the submarine alluvial fan can be observed.

It is a Kumano pilgrimage route that connects Ichino to Mt. Nachi. Surrounded by cedar grove, many parts are covered with paving stones. Most of the paving stones are sandstone in the upper layer of the Kumano Group. The sandstone is laid upside down so that the bottom side of the stratum can be seen. This is because the bottom side is harder to break. You can also find sandstone with trace fossils.

Engetsuto (meaning ‘round-moon island’) is just off the coast of Shi-rahama. The island has a 9-metre-wide hole, through which the setting sun aligns perfectly during the spring and autumn equinoxes.
It was once part of a chain of islands, but continued erosion has left only the islet we see today.

(The rock needs to be hard enough to make such a hole, but the magma activity that occurred about 14 million years ago is said to be the heat source.)
