九龍島と鯛島は、熊野酸性火成岩類の礫を含む九龍島礫岩層でできています。九龍島には多くの洞窟があり、海岸の隆起を示すヤッコカンザシの巣の跡を見ることができます。また、河内祭りの神事を行う場所です。鯛島は、対岸から見ると鯛の形をしており、目の部分に穴が空いています。朝日や月が目の中に入る景色が美しい島です。
