ラクダ岩、ライオン島、鶴島などの大小の島々、多数の海食洞や海食洞門などが紺碧の海に浮かぶ景勝地です。紀の松島は、海面の位置が高さ100mを超える範囲で上下に変動して形成されました。この海面の位置の変動は、12万年から8千年前の間に寒冷な氷期と温暖な間氷期をくり返した気候変動により起こったものです。勝浦港を巡る観光船によるクルージングでみることができます。
