那智勝浦町・マップ５２：E1 宇久井半島・陸繋島・外の取・地玉の浜
宇久井半島はマグマからできた流紋岩（花崗斑岩）からできています。外の取海岸には、マグマが冷え固まる時の収縮してできた柱状節理が発達します。地玉の浜には牟婁付加体があり、貫入してきた流紋岩（花崗斑岩）との接触部を見ることができます。宇久井半島は平坦な海岸段丘であるとともに、島であった宇久井半島が陸繋砂州でつながったところに宇久井の集落ができています。
The Ugui Peninsula is made of rhyolite (granodiorite) made of magma. Columnar joints formed by contraction when magma cools and hardens develop on the outer coast. There is a Muro accretionary prism on the beach of the ground ball, and you can see the contact part with the intrusive rhyolite (granodiorite). The Ugui Peninsula is a flat marine terrace, and a village of Ugui is formed where the Ugui Peninsula, which was an island, is connected by a land-tied sandbar.
