Priest Ippen's Stone Monuments There are two sandstone monuments along the Kumano pilgrimage route Iseji, between Shiko and the Banze-Toge pass. It was said that the priest Ippen, a founder of one of the sects of Buddhism, engraved Buddha's name on these two sandstone monuments. It is recorded that they were damaged by an earthquake, and later repaired using rhyolite in the Edo Period. 位置:https://goo.gl/maps/PvMT4i7PX5s7HZ579 |
